Behind the build
Cylo Care
Period tracking, predictions, and AI insights in one app.
Mobile · AI

Echeos partnered with Cylo Care to design and build native iOS and Android apps for a menstrual-health product, with AI woven through the experience. We worked closely with the client from requirements and UI/UX through engineering and release, then supported early growth through app-store optimization and limited paid advertising.

The idea
Cylo Care set out to give people a convenient way to understand and track their menstrual cycles: period tracking, a cycle calendar, predictions, fertile-window information, and AI features, together in one app.
Turning that idea into a usable product took more than building screens. The requirements needed clarifying, the product direction agreeing, the experience designing, and the systems underneath building and connecting, all ready for release on two mobile platforms.
How it started
Our first conversation with the Cylo Care team was on 4 December 2024.
From there, we partnered to take the product from its early requirements through design, engineering, and launch, keeping the client closely involved in every decision along the way.
Who it's for
People around the world who want to understand their cycle, not just log it.
Cylo Care is for anyone who menstruates and wants a clearer picture of their cycle: when the next period is due, when the fertile window falls, and how they feel from one day to the next. With users across the world, the experience had to feel simple and personal from the very first day of tracking.
The product
A native app on each platform, sharing one product experience, with AI built into how people track, understand, and act on their cycle.
Product capabilities
- Menstrual and period tracking
- A cycle calendar
- Cycle and period predictions
- Fertile-window information
- AI features across the app

Our contribution
A close, iterative product partnership. Instead of moving straight into implementation, we reviewed the requirements in detail, worked through the intended experience, and proposed a solution before committing to the build.
- 01
Understand the requirements
Establish what the client wanted to build, why the product needed each capability, and how those capabilities should fit together.
- 02
Define a practical solution
Propose a solution and work through the details with the client, using smaller iterations to resolve important assumptions early.
- 03
Design and refine the experience
Develop the UI/UX together with the client, refining screens and flows as the product direction became clearer.
- 04
Develop alongside design finalization
Begin building each part as its design was finalized, creating a tight feedback loop between design, implementation, and client review.
- 05
Prepare for launch
Support releases and the initial market launch, then help with early discoverability and acquisition.
Native iOS app
Built with Swift and SwiftUI, a platform-specific iOS experience aligned with the Android app.
Native Android app
Built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, using the platform's modern development tools.
Backend services
Python backend development supporting the mobile experience.
AI across the product
AI built into the app experience, including the in-app assistant.

Release support and the initial launch were part of the work. App-store optimization improved how the app was presented and discovered, and a limited paid-advertising effort extended its reach. Cylo Care was generating revenue from the early days of its release.
Echeos took Cylo Care from requirements and product definition through UI/UX, full mobile development, backend, release, and early growth: a completed development and initial-launch engagement.
